About
BadQBing welcomes you back to BQBL 2023 on Fantasizr!
For those new to the Bad Quarterback League, it is a non-traditional fantasy league where you draft teams with bad quarterbacks instead of actual players. Each week, your starters are scored based on the scoring table below. The worse the quarterback performance, the higher the score!
We will continue to use the scoring system inspired by Grantland's Failure Machine. Scoring categories and details are outlined below. All scoring decisions are at the sole discretion of the BadQBing Supplementary League Oversight Board. Fantasizr offers up both public and private leagues, which are also outlined below. Scores will be updated by Tuesday each week, although delays are always possible. Any changes or updates will be provided via our Twitter account.
On behalf of us at BadQBing, welcome to BQBL 2023!

Scoring
Public Leagues consist of 8 teams composed of 4 NFL teams. Private Leagues can have a variable number of teams in a league, and a variable number of NFL teams on each BQBL team. These settings can be changed by the private league commissioner prior to the draft. By default, all teams are on the active roster each week. To change this in private leagues, enable "Manage Lineups" under "Edit League Info," and set your desired number of starting teams. We recommend 2 starters each week. In our own league, we require 4 starts from each team prior to our playoffs.
NFL teams are drafted, not individual players. Stats for all quarterbacks that play in a game will count toward the weekly score. 24/7 points are scored to the week beginning the Tuesday prior to games through the end of Monday, i.e., 24/7 points are scored for the days leading up to the current week's games. Any judgement calls on scoring decisions lie solely with the BadQBing Supplementary League Oversight Board.

Welcome back to another season of the BQBL! Week 1 surely did not disappoint. The Giants open up with an absolute disaster on Sunday Night Football, Joe Burrow did not show up after signing the largest contract in the NFL, and Aaron Rodgers' first season with the Jets sees an untimely end.
In addition to all of the action on the field, we are making an adjustment to the scoring rules for this year. In prior seasons, we had doubled the game-winning drive penalty in overtime. This season, a game-winning drive in the last two minutes of regulation, or any point in overtime, will be scored equally. Game-winning drives by field goal will continue to be half the penalty. Hopefully that works in your favor!
