Shishi will be the first Ukrainian to become a Maegashira in Kyushu. (Although his younger countryman Aonishiki is making his Juryo debut and will likely be in Makuuchi soon.) He is absolutely huge even among sumotori and has been good if not dominant in the lower divisions.
