That is also long enough in the rear view mirror--and the fact he's on the wrong side of the age curve--to maybe begin thinking he's never going to be what he once was. What he definitely still is is a rikishi who can hang in mid-Maegashira by being one of the expert opponents of pushing and thrusting.
